Sustainability champion
at Conran and Partners
Conran and Partners are looking for a senior sustainability champion to join its London studio.
We are growing our sustainability team!
This is an exciting opportunity to work with the head of sustainability to evolve C&P’s strategic approach to the climate emergency and advocate sustainable design in the practice and wider industry. As a senior member of our team, you will be an integral part of the practice’s drive for sustainable design, supporting our architects and interior designers with knowledge, expertise, analysis and performance modelling to help develop sustainable, integrated and regenerative architecture.
Your responsibilities will include:
- implementing sustainability-driven processes throughout the lifecycle of a wide range of master planning, architecture and interior design projects, including POE and building performance analytics
- supporting our design teams by undertaking performance analysis including, but not limited to Passivhaus, embodied carbon/whole-building lifecycle analysis, passive design and environmental assessments for evaluation of design options
- assessing embodied and operational carbon of existing projects to build up our lessons learnt knowledge bank
- maintaining of C&P’s digital sustainability library and material database, offering technical advice on material and product specifications
- leading C&P’s weekly bite-size sustainability CPD programme
- keeping abreast of legislative changes, research, technical and product innovation
- supporting international projects across our UK and HK studios
Ideally, applicants should be qualified architects with experience in a similar role throughout all project stages. You are enthusiastic, resourceful, self-directed, solution-focussed and detail-oriented, yet aware of the bigger strategy. A technical understanding of processes and proficiency in software such as PHPP, Revit, relevant add-ons, OneClick LCA and other relevant software comes naturally to you.
Successful applicants will have the opportunity to work on high-profile projects in the UK and abroad, tailoring their knowledge and expertise to a wide range of sectors from residential, workplace, hospitality, retail and mixed-use, both on retrofit and new build projects.
This is a full-time position. All candidates should be eligible to work in the UK.
