Artichoke: Architectural Consultancy is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Part 2 architectural assistant to join its team in Berkshire, UK.

We are an established, friendly practice based in Windsor, Berkshire with a great reputation and a passion for what we do. We are currently working on a wide range of residential schemes, both new build and refurbishments/extensions as well as some exciting large-scale mixed-use developments. The successful candidate will be fully involved on a wide variety of projects and across all work stages from concept design through to completion.
Required skills and experience:
- a passion for design, a willingness to have a go, a critical eye when checking your work and a friendly disposition
- a portfolio that shows a high level of creative exploration, including sketching and an understanding of technical design
- ability to work proactively in small teams and with strong communication skills
- excellent AutoCAD and SketchUp/Rhino drawing skills
- a good understanding of domestic design
- good knowledge and experience of UK Planning, Building Regulations, building contracts and construction detailing
- a minimum of 12 months UK experience in an architectural/design environment
- access to a car to get to and from sites
- fluent written and spoken English and eligible to work in the UK
We aim to provide the successful applicant with all the skills and experience needed to undertake their RIBA part 3 qualifications and to make the process an enjoyable one.
Salary: subject to qualifications and experience
Start: July/August 2022
Contract: full-time, term to be agreed (up to nine months)
