Design architect
at Fitzrovia Property Ventures

Fitzoriva Property Ventures is seeking a design architect to join its team in London.

We are looking to appoint a creative individual to join our team. Previous hospitality and hotels sector experience would be an advantage. We have a passion for contemporary and sustainable design and work on high end hotel, restaurant, bar and residential projects at varied scales across London.

The ideal candidate will be a recently qualified architect with minimum six to seven years’ professional experience. A passion for sustainable design and architecture. You will need the advanced diploma in professional practice in Architecture, Part 3

You will have excellent technical skills and be proficient in AutoCAD and Revit. You should possess excellent communication and customer service skills, and should have the creativity to shape innovative, unique designs.  You will be working in our office in Fitzrovia, London.

Design architect responsibilities:

  • meeting with clients to discuss the design requirements for new and ongoing construction projects, alterations, or repairs
  • gathering the necessary measurements, dimensions, and other routine calculations for design layouts
  • providing clients with suitable design recommendations based on factors such as budget, the building site, and recent trends
  • using CAD, Revit and manual drawing techniques to produce architectural plans for management and client approval
  • reworking and modifying designs based on comments and reviews from management and clients
  • interacting with other architects and designers to exchange ideas and provide support
  • ensuring all vital information and documentation is recorded and maintained
  • ensuring that all layouts and blueprints are compliant with industry codes and legal standards

Qualifications/requirements:

  • relevant degree in architecture
  • advanced diploma in professional practice in architecture – Part 3
  • a portfolio of completed designs
  • sector-relevant UK experience across all RIBA work stages
  • excellent technical skills, particularly with CAD software
  • strong creative design and time management skills
  • good customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • management of CDP packages
