Part 2/3 architect

Studio Ulanowski is looking for a Part 2, or recently qualified Part 3 architect to join its team in Kent, UK.
Founded in 2016, we are a small practice, working predominantly in the high-end private residential with projects across London and East Kent. Our work spans between architecture and interior design, with an eclectic mix of projects from traditional architectural restoration, bespoke interior design, and contemporary new builds. We are always looking to do things in new and interesting ways, while working with our clients and the projects context.
Our new team member will have a strong interest in the way people live, and in residential design and architecture, with a desire to grow and learn within the field. They will be required to work a number of projects alongside the director with day to day management of projects
Requirements:
- experienced Part 2, or Part 3 (less than five years)
- Margate/Ramsgate area/East Kent
- minimum of two years’ experience delivering projects in the UK
- experience working on high-end, private residential projects
- salary band £28-34k per annum
- full-time freelance position in the beginning with potential to become full employee
- flexible working options: in person two days a week
- ability to travel to London (train or car). Full UK driving Licence (useful, not essential)
Role:
- the applicant should have a passion for architecture and design, with strong attention to detail and the ability to think laterally
- ability to think critically about design to develop projects
- working between 2D and 3D, and across different media to develop concept designs, and convey ideas
- draw up projects in plan, section, and elevation (external and internal)
- understanding of technical detailing, and experience in delivering Tender and construction drawings
- ability to communicate clearly and liaise with clients, external consultants and contractors
- strong presentation skills
- experience sourcing and coordinating materials, finishes, and FF&E.
- general understanding of construction contracts (JCT or RIBA)
- experience with inspecting construction work
- ability to work on multiple projects, and deliver to internal and external project programmes and deadlines
- comprehensive knowledge of building regulations and RIBA Plan of Work
- experience/knowledge of London and/or Kent planning policies and working with Listed Building
- ability to maintain professionalism at all times, even while under pressure.

- Rhino 3D – Skilled / Proficient
- Adobe Creative Suite:

- proficient in spoken and written English, with good verbal and written communication skills
