daab design Architects is hiring a Part 2 architectural assistant to join its team in London.

About us

daab design is a vibrant Battersea based studio encompassing architectural thinking power on a micro to macro scale. We apply large practice knowledge in a friendly studio environment. We are equally at ease working on private residential projects as we are reimagining urban centres. Our studio engages in academic thinking and making architecture accessible to all through our work with HomeGrown Plus, Future Frontiers and Battersea Untangled. We believe in collective responsibility to improve our environment and our work reflects the cities we have lived in and the cultures we love.

About you

You would be agile, thorough, thoughtful and have a passionate curiosity about how things go together. You would be empathetic, open minded and eager to employ your talents to challenge barriers. You would be able to organise your time, work autonomously and express a desire to learn. You would possess:

  • Part 2 qualification
  • eligibility to work in the UK
  • experience within UK architectural practice
  • exceptional digital skills. REVIT experience is advantageous
  • a skilled eye for graphics, including fluent hand-sketching and Adobe Suite
  • an interest in conservation, low energy design and infrastructure
  • a strong interest in material and technical research
  • excellent model making skills
  • effortless written and spoken communication skills
  • agility with digital communications

About your role at daab

Your role will be to work on an exciting cross section of projects across all RIBA stages and advancing themes in: circular economy, place making, community engagement, etc. You will be a self-motivated designer able to take the initiative, working with other energetic professionals in an open studio environment and contributing to the practice’s principles of architectural thinking. Tasks will include digital and physical modelling, sketching, preparing diagrams and graphics for presentations and project development. You will form an important part of the project team.
