daab design is looking for a project architect to take a leading role in its residential projects to join its team in London.
About us
daab design is a vibrant Battersea based studio encompassing architectural thinking power on a micro to macro scale. We apply large practice knowledge in a friendly studio format. We are equally at ease working on private residential projects as we are reimagining urban centres. Our studio engages in academic thinking and making architecture accessible to all through our work with HomeGrown Plus, Future Frontiers and Battersea Untangled. We believe in collective responsibility to improve our environment and our work reflects the cities we have lived in and the cultures we love.
About you
You would be confident, agile, thorough, thoughtful and have a passionate curiosity about how things go together. You understand the value of cross pollination and drawing ideas from various inspirational sources. You have a keen interest in the crucial issues of adaptive reuse, the impact of climate change and experience working on listed buildings. You would demonstrate the ability to lead projects and organise workflow for yourself as well as others. You possess stellar skills and enjoy communicating directly with clients, the project team and contractors.
You would possess:
- Part 3 qualification with five plus years’ experience in the UK
- eligibility to work in the UK
- considerable experienced in residential projects across all RIBA stages including comprehensive experience of UK planning and building regulations
- extensive experience of delivering all RIBA stages in REVIT
- experience in conservation, low energy design
- experienced in client engagement
- desire to innovate through technical detailing and material research
- outstanding communication skills

About your role at daab
Your role as a project architect would be to take the lead in developing schemes from concept through construction and handover. You will lead the consultant team, have direct client contact, oversee site work, and oversee post occupancy evaluation. The role will include participation in measures to advance themes in circular economy, place making, community engagement, etc. You will work with other energetic professionals in an open studio environment fostering the practice’s principles of architectural thinking.
