Own London Studio is seeking a mid-weight FF&E interior designer to join its team in London.
Own London Studio are seeking a talented and ambitious mid-weight FF&E interior designer with a proven track record and focus on high end residential and hospitality projects.
For this role, you must have a BA in interior design or similar, with three plus years of post-graduate experience.
Role outline
You will have proven experience of successfully leading projects from inception to completion. You will have a portfolio of high-quality contemporary interiors demonstrating commercial, hospitality and residential development experience. You will demonstrate exceptional design, coordination and management skills with high attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- working to a written or verbal brief, outlining the deliverables on each phase and scope of works
- managing projects efficiently, within schedule and within budget, in close cooperation with senior design and/or associate director as a senior member of the project team
- preparation of concepts, mood boards, preliminary and final designs, and development of details, furniture, fixtures and lighting layouts in AutoCAD
- developing detailed designs and selection of furniture, lighting and finishes, taking responsibility for technical drawings in plans and elevations prior to presentations
- building and growing existing client and supplier relationships
- capability for estimate FF&E costing and procurement using EstiPc
- installation manager and storage experience
Required skills:
- proven ability to create and develop conceptual designs
- ability to work with suppliers to create bespoke designs and finishes
- proven on-site experience, including technical drawing reviews and on-site detail reviews
- efficient in time management
- a conscientious and clear communicator
- experience in dealing with clients, contractors and other suppliers in a highly professional manner
- ability to advise clients and other parties on all specification and cost details of a design project
- detailed knowledge and understanding of AutoCAD, Photoshop, InDesign and Esti PC/Mac
- self-motivated but also a good team player who can work quickly and efficiently in an organised manner
