NEXT architects is currently looking for an architect/architectural assistant to join its team in Beijing.
NEXT architects is an international Amsterdam/Beijing-based architecture firm that has worked on research and design projects in the field of urban planning, architecture, interior, and infrastructure since its foundation in 1999. NEXT architects is located in Amsterdam, opening its second office in Beijing, China in 2004.
Next architects is an international studio of around one hundred designers, structured around the key disciplines of architecture, interior design, landscape architecture, planning and urban design. Being the largest Dutch architecture firm in China, we have ongoing projects throughout various major cities in China as well as Sri Lanka and South-East Asia. Working at NEXT will give you the unique opportunity to work on various major international competitions of varying typologies within a diverse office environment. NEXT architects is looking for architects and architectural assistants to join its growing office in Beijing, China.
Requirements:
- bachelor’s degree, or higher in architecture
- previous experience working in a leading, international architecture firm
- strong understanding of building systems and materials
- good communication skills
- strong team player
- have a passion for architecture
Professional and personal skills
- creative flair and a conceptual approach to design
- the capability to collaborate, innovate and to learn
- strong skills in 2D and 3D software (AutoCAD/Revit/SketchUp/Rhino/Lumion/Adobe Creative Suite)
- ability to multi-task, prioritise and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment is essential
- excellent spoken/written English language
- Chinese (Mandarin) language skills is an advantage
- preferably already China-based but not essential
