Martin Brudnizki Design Studio is seeking an FF&E procurement manager to join its team in London. 

The responsibilities will include:

Projects:

  • managing existing and new FF&E manufacturing through all projects. From approval to delivery ensuring specification is met and design is realised 
  • identifying inefficiencies within FF&E projects and working across teams to eliminate them 
  • to work on ad hoc projects and tasks when needed to meet the demands of the business
  • managing FF&E spending across multiple global projects promoting a culture of delivering top quality to the highest standard
  • managing procurement team to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
  • resolve project-related supplier and FF&E issues with the procurement team and design team
  • evaluating the procurement process following project completion and adjusting the process as necessary 

Suppliers:

  • maintain and grow our network of potential resources to bring on board as needed
  • build and maintain long-term relationships with suppliers
  • review existing contracts with suppliers to ensure ongoing feasibility. negotiate contracts, terms and deadlines with suppliers
  • perform risk assessments on potential suppliers and agreements
  • work with the design team to source and engage dependable suppliers on advantageous terms

Client:

  • put together important client-facing documents and templates
  • lead client introductory meetings to both project and procurement team
  • development and support senior procurement coordinator with difficult client comms and presentations
  • work closely with the management team to review client contract terms

Resources/team:

  • workload management and reporting of resource availability/status reports to the management team
  • review new projects and allocate resources
  • ensuring all live projects have enough resources to deliver a successful project
  • manage team and develop team members across different levels, completing such documents such as appraisals and personal development plans
  • control the procurement team’s budget 

System/reporting:

  • work closely with the management accounts team to ensure correct accounting and cost allocation for all projects, client invoicing
  • prepare and deliver procurement reports and recommendations to management team
  • oversee the IT systems and processes that track purchases, inventory and supply of equipment and services
  • develop procurement strategies that are inventive and cost-effective for the business
  • track business performance weekly (main KPIs, project timeline, project live spend, etc.)

The candidate should also:

  • excellent computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel intermediate or above/Office
  • strong understanding of procurement and negotiation techniques
  • excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • proactive, adaptable and able to self-manage workload with little supervision
  • strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills 
  • diligent with excellent accuracy skills and strong attention to detail
  • ability to establish new systems
  • be proactive with ideas that benefit the business
  • a natural problem solver with the ability to think creatively in a solution-driven manor
  • ability to manage a small team 
  • excellent organisational and numeracy skills
  • ability to work under pressure to deadlines and manage others to do the same
  • team player who has a desire to achieve a high standard of work.
