Studio Joseph has an opportunity for a communications manager to join its busy team in New York.
Studio Joseph is a small, design-oriented firm with a range of projects that includes museum and exhibition design, institutional, and educational work. We collaborate with media designers, graphic designers, artists and curators as part of interdisciplinary teams. We are seeking a communications manager with excellent written and oral communication skills and a strong eye for graphic design. The communications manager will be responsible for assembling RFQ and RFP responses, compiling decks for interviews and presentations, applying for design awards and the production of other marketing materials. The communications manager will also handle day-to-day office management. This includes answering the phone, ordering supplies, and handling internal and external office communication.
This is a new position, so we are looking for a self-starter that is able to work independently, intuit new opportunities and work collaboratively with the design team. This role will have the opportunity for growth.
Qualifications:
- bachelor’s degree
- one-three years experience in a creative industry
- demonstrated interest in architecture and design
- excellent written and oral communication skills
- strong editing and proofreading capabilities
- excellent sense of graphic design and layout
- a highly organized work style
- ability to work independently and be proactive
- proficiency in Adobe Suite (InDesign and Photoshop is essential)
- ability to think creatively and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- prior experience with RFPs and RFQs is a plus, but not mandatory
Responsibilities:
