Freelance architects/architectural assistants
at Koto Design
Koto Design is looking for freelance architects/architectural assistants to join its team remotely.
The freelancer will work closely with the Koto team to ensure that all designs meet functional requirements while also maintaining a high level of aesthetic appeal.
This will involve:
- project development: assist in the development and conceptualisation of new projects
- client and consultant interaction: communicate directly with clients and consultants to gather requirements, present ideas and receive feedback
- documentation: prepare detailed drawings, reports and design documents for internal and client review
- collaboration: work closely with team members to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to projects
- project management: manage timelines and deliverables for specific projects or components of projects
- quality control: ensure all deliverables meet the expected quality standards and align with client expectations
Strong construction experience is important and often more significant than academic qualifications.
Essential requirements:
- minimum of two years’ experience in architectural practice or the construction industry
- excellent working knowledge of the UK building regulations
- experience with UK planning applications
- proficiency in SketchUp and Adobe Suite
- strong communication skills
- legal right to work within the UK
Preferred requirements:
- bachelor’s degree in architecture
- master’s degree in architecture
- experience across all RIBA stages
- experience in AutoCAD
