Stanesby Architecture is recruiting a senior architect and an architect to join its London studio.

We are looking for a senior architect with a minimum of five years’ post Part 3 UK experience and a qualified architect with a minimum of three years’ post-Part 3 UK experience.

Stanesby Architecture specialises in innovative, high-quality projects and the reuse of existing and sometimes historic buildings. Our current workload is an exciting mix of new build and adaptive conversions, ranging from high-end residential to hospitality and community-based projects.

We are looking for experienced, creative and enthusiastic candidates with proven UK planning and construction experience with exposure to all RIBA stages, in addition to excellent site management and communication skills, strong technical knowledge and a passion for design implementation and delivery to work as part of our friendly team.

The smaller nature of our practice means that successful candidates will have broad involvement in all project phases and will benefit from the opportunity to rapidly develop into well-rounded architects with a high level of responsibility and ownership of projects from inception to completion.

The ideal candidate would demonstrate the following capabilities:

  • excellent design sensibility
  • proven ability to take a project from concept design through technically proficient detailing and specification to delivery
  • UK construction site experience preferably in the residential sector
  • in-depth knowledge and experience of the UK planning framework and legislation
  • excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • ability to work intuitively and independently and to get along in a team
  • demonstrate a professional attitude with the ability to meet deadlines
  • highly computer literate, intermediate to advanced using Revit, essential in using MS Office, Adobe Suite, AutoCAD and SketchUp; previous use of Vectorworks would be welcomed but not essential
  • exceptional skills and experience in the preparation of high-quality packages, documents and graphics

This role is offered on a permanent basis, with a salary dependent on experience.
