The role
As a junior FF&E designer at Kibre, you won’t just be working on projects, you will play a key role in our growth strategy and success. In this role, you will work alongside the other members of the FF&E team in the creation of unique, high quality, and innovative FF&E designs across a wide range of projects. You will also be expected to collaborate with suppliers and support the team in presentational and procurement processes.
Responsibilities:
- assist in the selection and specification of FF&E across a variety of projects
- develop and present mood boards, material palettes, and FF&E concepts that align with project requirements and client expectations
- support the team in creating detailed FF&E schedules, specifications, and budgets
- maintain FF&E libraries, organise samples, and stay updated on the latest trends and products in furniture, textiles and lighting
- assist in the preparation of client presentations, including material schedules and technical drawings
- assist in the creation of FF&E CAD plans, referencing the co-ordinated plans with RCPs and the Interior Designers GA’s and sections
- source new suppliers, build and maintain relationships. Obtain quotes, samples, and product information as required
- collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers in the design, production and delivery of FF&E
- assist in the procurement of FF&E, and keeping systems updated
- provide on-site support and styling, ensuring that all FF&E, accessories and styling requirements are met
- assist in styling and supporting professional photography, when required
What we are looking for:
- a confident, loyal, trustworthy, dynamic person who can hold their own with project consultant teams and suppliers
- an industry recognised diploma or degree in interior Ddsign, interior architecture or architecture
- a passion for FF&E, design, art and aesthetics, with knowledge of suppliers, product and specialist finishes
- general knowledge of interior architecture, with the ability to read and understand technical drawings, including furniture shop drawings
- excellent communication and presentation skills
- proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite
- experience with FF&E scheduling – ideally Estimac
- knowledge of FF&E, materials and finishes
- eagerness to work collaboratively and creatively
- ability to demonstrate discretion with sensitive and sometimes confidential information
- competent in MS Office
