3s Architects is hiring a senior project architect to join its team in London.

3s Architects Studio, an award-winning German-British architectural practice based in Richmond upon Thames, is looking for an experienced senior project architect to join its growing team, with long-term progression towards principal level.

You will be an experienced Part 2 architect or an ARB/RIBA-registered architect who has completed UK Part 3, with substantial experience delivering residential or mixed-use projects through to completion.

The role

Working closely with the directors, you will take responsibility for projects across RIBA Stages 1–6, from initial design development and planning through to technical design and construction, including site assistance and, in some cases, contract administration.

The role includes:

• leading and managing private residential and mixed-use projects
• developing initial designs and planning applications
• producing detailed construction packages and technical information
• coordinating with clients, consultants, contractors and project teams
• resolving technical and construction issues, particularly on site
• supporting or undertaking site and contract administration
• contributing to other studio projects and collaborating with team members

About you

We are looking for an architect with strong design judgement, technical knowledge and a practical understanding of construction. You should be confident taking projects through to completion and resolving technical issues as they arise.

You will have:

• strong experience in private residential and/or mixed-use architecture
• excellent knowledge of architectural detailing and construction
• experience working across RIBA Stages 1–6
• the ability to produce clear and accurate CAD drawings
• strong coordination and communication skills
• a high level of attention to detail and commitment to design quality

Vectorworks 2D and 3D proficiency is preferred. Experience withRevit, Rhino, Enscape, V-Ray or SketchUp would be advantageous but is not essential.
