Role purpose
This six-month internship will be based in Paris with an immediate start.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following
The role involves supporting the global retail design team in executing complex architectural tasks. This includes assisting in the production, editing, and updating of drawings, 3D models, material selection, and reviewing construction drawings. The intern will familiarise themselves with each stage and submission of selected projects, ensuring they understand the process thoroughly. Additionally, the role requires handling specific administrative tasks related to project management, contributing to the smooth operation and success of the design projects.
The scope includes the following
Architectural assistance:
- providing project administration support
completion of digital and analogue 3D modelling tasks on a project by project basis - completion of digital rendering for presentation purposes on a project by project basis
- completion of simple drafting requirements on a project by project basis
- development and ongoing maintenance of a full and up to date material sample reference library, globally relevant selections separated from regionally specific items
- maintenance of an architectural library, including relevant books and periodicals
- development, maintenance and circulation of global tools, eg master CAD file and CTB, Excel, Indesign etc.
- learning and development opportunities through basic functional mark ups and execution of appropriate checklists across project submissions
- assisting to collate and circulate relevant architectural references, both contemporary and historical, appropriately through the department
Administrative assistance:
- assistance with inter-departmental requests for store specific information, liaising where required with regional colleagues
- assistance with ongoing store design guideline content updates and general maintenance, including both written and visual material
assistance with editing and updating of other globally relevant information and resources - coordinate and execute invoicing for suppliers and contractors as required
- assist with planning and executing relevant departmental events
coordinate ordering, shipping and payment of specific items
Who we are looking for:
- master degree in architecture, interior architecture or similar
school agreement for six months - strong attention to detail and design aesthetic
- fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
- proactive and innovative in presenting ideas
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- good command with 2D (AutoCAD) and 3D software (Rhino, Vray, Enscape), Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Acrobat Pro, Photoshop, InDesign)
- initiate skills in creating plans and models
- strong multitasking abilities
- outstanding organisational skills
- experience in project management and coordination
- knowledgeable in modern and contemporary architecture
