Project architect

CW O’Brien Architects is seeking a project architect to join its team in London.
With office headquarters in Dublin, London and Cork, CW O’Brien Architects is part of a wide network of associated architectural practices across Europe and Asia.
Our London office, is ideally located between Farringdon and Chancery Lane. We have a rich history of working on complex and large-scale projects across a variety of sectors, including residential, student accommodation, office, retail, hospitality, data centres and mixed-use developments.
We are seeking a talented, proactive and ambitious project architect to join our team.
The role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of projects across the UK, Ireland and internationally, including exciting and challenging data centre developments.
Your involvement will span from early concept design and detailed planning through to construction stages.
As a member of our team, you will be actively involved in design and technical discussions, contributing to the future development of our new London studio with the opportunity to take on greater responsibilities as the practice grows.
Please check your experience fits the criteria prior to applying:
- ARB and RIBA registered with experience across all RIBA work stages
- a minimum of three years of post-Part III professional experience
- advanced proficiency in Revit, capable of producing both planning and construction drawings (to be tested)
- strong skills in Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
- solid understanding of UK building regulations, construction methods, specifications and technical detailing; experience with NBS Chorus is advantageous
- proven ability to lead and manage projects or work packages from inception to completion, ensuring exceptional design, documentation and delivery standards
- familiarity with local building regulations, legal processes and industry trends, with the ability to integrate these into project work
- effective management of project scope, ensuring the agreed deliverables are met and any changes are clearly communicated and approved
- strong compliance knowledge of statutory and technical requirements, including planning policies, building regulations/codes and procurement processes
- excellent communication and project management skills, capable of working collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams and client-facing roles
- ability to manage workloads, timelines and budgets effectively, ensuring project milestones and quality standards are met
- enthusiastic, creative and self-motivated with a keen interest in continuous learning and knowledge sharing
- experience or a strong interest in data centre projects is highly advantageous
