Object Atelier is looking for a furniture maker to join its team in London, UK.
The candidate should have at least three years previous experience in a similar role. The candidate should be a highly motivated and enthusiastic person with a keen eye for detail and the desire to hone their making skills.
Skills and Experience
- 3 years’ experience working within a professional wood workshop
- proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings
- competent as reading and writing cut lists
- capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
- strong planning skills with a solid understanding of furniture construction processes
- competent at using furniture making machinery, power tools and hand tools
- experienced in furniture and joinery assembly
- keen eye for detail
- competent at on site installations
- knowledge of working with different materials
- good communication skills
- able to take clear instructions from team leaders
- forward thinking
- ability to work in a small but growing company
- problem solver
- team player
- CSCS card holder
As a small company we would also need the candidate to be happy to adapt to the different roles within the company. Furniture making is the heart of what we do and a tight connection between workshop and office is essential.
