Role

SODA is seeking an Architect to join its vibrant Soho-based practice. This is a permanent, full-time position with an immediate start. Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK.

SODA is different from other practices. We are a highly collaborative and social team that brings together architecture, interiors and graphics under one umbrella.

We are looking for applicants with strong conceptual and visualisation skills and experience working across all RIBA work stages. New projects include Central London commercial and hospitality projects involving complex new-build and refurbishment elements.

Experience required:

• three to five years’ experience
• experience across a variety of design stages, ideally from concept through to completion
• experience running and delivering projects from pitch through to detailed design packages, with the support of a small team
• confidence in producing technical design and tender packages
• creative flair and a strong conceptual approach to design
• confidence communicating with the internal team, clients and contractors
• ability to work well as part of a team and a willingness to collaborate and learn
• strong skills in 2D and 3D software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Enscape and Adobe Creative Suite)
• ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• an exceptional design portfolio showing both student and professional work
• experience sourcing materials, finishes and furniture, as well as presenting and scheduling FF&E
• experience in the commercial and/or hospitality sectors
• experience working with existing buildings and new-build schemes, in addition to fit-out projects, is also desirable
