Onyx London is a high-end residential design and build studio working on some of the most elegant private homes in London’s prime neighbourhoods, including Kensington, Chelsea and Belgravia.
We are seeking a junior or mid-weight FF&E designer with a passion for detail, refined taste and the ability to deliver full FF&E packages across multiple projects. This role is for a studio based designer but also open to freelance designers with strong availability. Freelancers will need to be office-based also.
Key responsibilities:
- develop and present FF&E schemes in line with the wider design team
Source, specify and document furniture, lighting, soft furnishings, artwork and accessories - prepare and manage detailed FF&E schedules and budgets
- liaise with trade and bespoke suppliers to ensure design quality and timely delivery
- coordinate procurement and installations, including site attendance
- support styling, dressing and final execution phases
Skills and experience:
- minimum three years’ experience in a high-end residential or boutique interiors studio
- strong portfolio with clear FF&E documentation and styling work
- excellent material and supplier knowledge, especially bespoke and luxury sources
- fluent in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Excel
- SketchUp and AutoCAD familiarity is a bonus
- highly organised with strong communication skill
