Executive Architect

FDArchitecture is looking for an executive architect to join its team in London.
Formed in 2005, FDArchitecture is a small, friendly and close-knit practice. We have a broad portfolio of projects with a predominance in the retail sector and have worked with many high-end retail and hospitality clients. We pride ourselves on both being nimble and for our highly respected, client-focused delivery.
Retail projects are typically the local implementation of interior schemes by other designers, including many notable names, and we are seeking an experienced, talented Architect to take a key role in our team for these. As such they should be a good team player but also be comfortable working independently and able to manage projects when required.
Though inception in these projects is by others, we provide a full Architectural service and the successful candidate will require a strong design ability, a keen eye for detail and extensive experience at all stages but particularly for production and construction, though the emphasis of work will be in the management of RIBA Stage 4, technical design.
Interested candidates should also possess good client-facing skills, be friendly and be comfortable liaising with contractors and other design-team consultants during design development and site stages.
Minimum experience:
- confidence in their command of English, written and spoken
- three years UK based experience post-Part 3 (architect)
- proficiency in AutoCAD
- working Knowledge of SketchUp
- working knowledge of Vectorworks and Revit is beneficial but not essential
- working knowledge of UK building regulations
