Lahdelma & Mahlamäki Architects us looking for an English-speaking public relations/business development coordinator to join its studio in Helsinki, Finland.

LM stands amongst Finland’s most established architectural offices, based in Helsinki. Our tight-knit team of talented national and international architects is supported by more than three decades of experience in unique locations that require unique solutions. Acclaimed projects include POLIN, the Museum of the History of Polish Jews in Warsaw. We have also just been announced as winners for the Helsinki high-rise competition.

Recently the studio has made a move to expand their international profile, a job that requires careful planning and execution of PR/BD activities.

The PR/BD coordinator will be responsible for the outwards image of the entire studio and to build up the office’s reputation overseas. This includes everything from social media management to the development of LM’s graphic style; representing the studio at international events and coordinating with governmental trade agencies.

An internship with similar roles would be considered for less experienced applicants.

PR/BD coordinator background:

• knowledge and strong affinity with architecture
• educational background in architecture, design (inc. graphic design), or public relations/marketing
• eye for graphic design and communication (written and oral)
• fluent in English (native preferred), other languages are a bonus
• ability to work independently and with a team

PR/BD coordinator roles:

• implement new branding guidelines and graphic style
• manage all communications outlets (online and offline) incl. social media, website, awards, newsletters and exhibitions
• liaise and cultivate relationships with media and influential professionals
• coordinate overall communications in line with business development goals
• building up the studio’s overseas image, including building relationships and project acquisition
• streamlining internal communication
