Interior designer
Lustedgreen is seeking a mid-weight interior designer with experience to join its team in London.

We are a dynamic interior design and architecture studio based on the Southbank in London specialising in commercial fit-out projects. Our work spans a variety of sectors, and we pride ourselves on delivering thoughtful, practical and visually impactful design solutions.

The role:
We are looking for a confident and skilled mid-weight designer to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with proven experience in commercial interiors who is ready to take more responsibility in project delivery.
You’ll work closely with senior designers and associates, contributing to all stages of project development and delivery and will be expected to take initiative and lead certain aspects of projects independently.
The position is a full-time role (40 hours per week). You should be based in the UK, in or with easy access to central London, hold a valid UK work permit, if required and be fluent in written and spoken English.

Key responsibilities:
- work collaboratively with senior designers and associates to develop and deliver interior design projects
- take a lead role in preparing drawing packages, space planning, technical detailing, and schedules with minimal supervision
- contribute to concept development and design presentations using Adobe Creative Suite
- attend client and contractor meetings, sometimes independently and represent the studio professionally
- coordinate with suppliers, consultants, and contractors as part of day-to-day project delivery
- conduct site visits, prepare site reports, and assist with snagging and installations
- support junior designers and help maintain studio standards across all project work
Requirements:
- degree or equivalent qualification in interior design, interior architecture or architecture.
- have a minimum four years’ postgraduate relevant experience of working on commercial projects in the UK
- proficiency in Vectorworks, Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite
- strong space planning, technical drawing, and detailing skills
- confidence in producing drawing packs with minimal oversight
- good knowledge of UK building regulations related to interior commercial fit-out projects
- a proactive mindset and the ability to show initiative throughout a project’s delivery
- excellent communication and time management skills
- the ability to work to deadlines and take on multiple tasks
- ability to take initiative and manage elements of a project independently
- collaborative mindset and willingness to support all team members
Good to have:
- project job running and contract administration experience
- experience running client or contractor meetings
- experience using SketchUp, Enscape or other visualisation tools
- belonging to design or architectural associations
- an interest in developing our sustainability agenda within interior projects
