Fatkin is seeking a practice manager to join its team in London.

Fatkin is an 24-strong architectural practice specialising in infrastructure with additional work in healthcare, science, and commercial typologies for public and private sector clients. The practice was established in 2014 and we have a diverse team with staff in London, Bristol, Cardiff and Plymouth.

As practice manager, you will work alongside the directors and senior team to support the architectural staff to work efficiently and collaboratively across each of our offices.

The role presents an opportunity to join the Fatkin senior team and to help the practice grow and flourish over the next few years with input into practice strategy and business development, alongside the development of your own career. As the practice grows, there is scope for the role to evolve and specialise over time in response to your own skillset and ambitions.

Responsibilities:

  • facilities: managing each of the offices, liaising with agents, dealing with day to day queries from the team and coordinating with our external IT support
  • HR: liaising with our external HR consultant and accountants, carrying out new starter inductions, managing the recruitment process and responding to HR queries from staff
  • finances: preparing and submitting tenders and bids, assisting with invoicing and using project management software to input data and generate reports
  • marketing: liaising with external comms advisors, website designers and assisting with marketing materials
  • you will be direct line manager to the practice administration assistant
  • you will encourage and support the team to work collaboratively and effectively
  • you will support and practice our values of creativity, flexibility, sustainability and inclusivity

Requirements:

  • you will have two to five plus years’ experience in a similar role including PA or EA, ideally in an architectural or professional consultancy setting
  • you will be an excellent problem-solver with a proactive approach
  • you will be highly organised and diligent
  • experience of using Windows and Microsoft Office is essential; experience of using Adobe Creative Suite is helpful
  • you will have excellent written and spoken communication skills
  • you will have the right to work in the UK
