Wright & Wright is hiring an architect to join its team in London.

Wright & Wright are seeking the right Architect to join our 30-strong team in Camden, London. Founded in 1994 by Sandy and Clare Wright, our studio specialises in designing contemporary interventions for some of the UK’s most historically significant sites. Our portfolio includes many high-profile cultural and heritage projects, including Lambeth Palace Library, Museum of the Home, and St John’s College, Oxford.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on once-in-a-lifetime projects, including current commissions at the British Museum, Science Museum, Hampton Court Palace, All Souls College and St Edmund Hall in Oxford, the Charterhouse, and a recently won competition.

Our studio culture is collaborative, creative and supportive. We have a profit share scheme and supply a free daily studio lunch. Training opportunities are actively encouraged.

We are looking for someone with robust technical knowledge, excellent BIM skills and experience, as well as a commitment to sustainability, design quality and detailing. Candidates must be able to evidence and demonstrate experience in production of construction tender drawings in Revit. You must have an understanding of and empathy with our design approach; and be able to work as part of a team but also with self-direction and initiative, while having a strong commitment to the job.

The following attributes are required:

  • a minimum of seven years’ architectural experience, post-Part 2
  • evidence of technical experience and BIM skills including full proficiency in Revit (2D and 3D)
  • be a strong communicator, who can work well with clients and consultants as well as being a good team player
  • be a talented designer
  • have strong knowledge of construction and detailing
  • having some experience working within sensitive heritage context and/or listed building would be advantageous
  • being able to make an immediate start or have short notice periods could also be advantageous but most importantly, you need to be the right fit in our team
