Yarn Collective creates natural and recycled textiles in distinctive colour palettes, from subtle neutrals and pastels to deep and fiery hues. We work with leading interior designers, furniture manufacturers and hospitality clients, supplying them with textiles that help bring their chosen atmosphere to any design scheme or piece of furniture. About you

We’re looking for a detail-oriented individual to join our team as a sales coordinator. This role is the administrative counterpart to our sales executives and sales managers, and plays a crucial role in our operations. While some administrative experience would be beneficial, what’s more important to us is a proactive approach and keenness to learn.

Key responsibilities:

  • be a key player in the Yarn Collective sales process, working with an energised and detail-oriented approach across the entire sales timeline
  • manage the processing of customer orders, reserves and queries with care and speed, always providing an excellent customer experience
  • provide rigorous support to the sales team, assisting with building quotes and sending details promptly, and handling new enquiries efficiently and personally
  • receive and process all UK client orders
  • check and reserve stock for clients, arranging cuttings for approval (CFAs) where appropriate
  • match orders with reserves and process orders to our warehouse in a timely fashion, following up to ensure orders are shipped without delay
  • build strong and valuable relationships with clients by keeping them informed of the progress of their orders, suggesting alternatives to out of stock or over budget textiles
  • if any issues arise with an order, work on own initiative to agree suitable action places with clients, escalating internally where necessary
  • maintain accurate client records with a high attention to detail, to ensure our database is always up to date
  • attend meetings with the sales team to discuss the delivery and pipeline of orders, following up with clients where necessary
  • provide excellent after-sales customer care, resolving any issues quickly and with care, escalating where necessary
  • be an ambassador of Yarn Collective’s company values, both externally and internally, raising the bar for industry standards

Additional duties:

  • be responsible for processing all sample requests, ensuring they’re sent out accurately and speedily, and updating clients where necessary with any outstanding samples
  • identify areas outside of your role where you can contribute valuably, bringing new ideas to the table with your unique experience and perspective in the business

Knowledge and skills:

  • excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • proactive and adaptable, with a strong bias for action and hands-on approach
  • ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • positive with a can-do attitude and passion for the design industry
  • ambition and drive to contribute to our company-wide sales targets
  • confident in Microsoft Office
