Founding associate – architecture graduate (UK)
at Avoice
Avoice is hiring a founding associate – architecture graduate (UK) to join its team in the UK.
Avoice is the AI-native workspace for architecture practices, covering specification writing, drawing review, submittals, RFIs and practice management. We are venture-backed, growing quickly, and trusted by leading practices across the UK, Australia, New Zealand and beyond.
We are looking for a founding associate to join us in the UK. It is an early, broad role at the heart of the company, working closely with the founders, and we think it may particularly suit an architecture graduate who is curious about the technology side of the industry they trained for.
We should mention early on that this is not an architectural position. You will not be producing drawings or working towards Part 3, and if qualifying as an architect is your ambition, we would genuinely encourage you along that path. This role offers something different.
You will spend your days alongside real practices of every size, from sole practitioners to large studios, learning how the profession actually works day to day: how specifications come together, how drawings are reviewed, how projects are delivered, and how practices win their work. You will introduce our platform to architects and directors, help new practices settle in and succeed, write documentation and analysis, and test what we build against real project material. What you learn will shape the product directly. Your architectural education will be genuinely useful here, just applied in a new way: rather than designing buildings, you will spend your time understanding, advising and explaining.
The role is deliberately varied. One day might centre on a demonstration, another on writing, another on working through a specification. You will have the founders alongside you throughout, and as the company grows the role will grow with you, in whichever direction you show the most promise, whether commercial, product, or operations.
You may enjoy this role if you:
- hold an architecture degree (Part 1 or equivalent)
- enjoy talking with people as much as producing documents
- like working independently and figuring things out as you go
- care about the industry and have thoughts on how it could work better
