Role responsibilities:
- responsible for FF and E and OS and E project budget and programme delivery
- manage the overall procurement strategy and organisation
- develop strong client relationships to determine their project and service needs
- perform all procurement activities including pre-qualification checks, negotiating supplier agreements and tender co-ordination with support of the project procurement officer (as applicable)
- prepare and issue purchase orders to supply chain, negotiating terms of the agreement. Manage workflow of procurement officer to achieve the same (as applicable)
- receive and distribute interior design line drawings, finish samples and other items necessary for production of both standard and custom-made items
- prepare and issue project reporting which show any variance to budget or programme
- proactively report on all potential opportunities of value engineering, product suitability, sustainability and lead time to mitigate any risk or to highlight opportunities
- proactively report on sustainability credentials of nominated FF and E products and companies supporting the client towards LEED/BREAM/WELL development goals
- responsible for overseeing transfer of orders from manufacture origin to direct to site, or warehouse working with specialist third-party logistics companies ensuring goods are logged into inventory, inspected for damage and stored safety. Undertake warehouse inspections (as required)
- co-ordinate with client, project manager, main contractor and fit-out teams FF and E and OS and E deliveries and their installation sequence
- responsible for overseeing the installation progress through weekly on-site inspections, remote trade co-ordination and snag resolution
- responsible for project closeout documentation, verify that all invoices have been processed and any refund claims collected
- delegate tasks and supervise the work of procurement officer. Identify personal development opportunities and undertake in-role training where necessary (as applicable)
- represent the company at key industry networking events within London and across Europe
- nurture relationships across the industry to improve business
- maintain up-to-date knowledge of FF and E and OS and E trends
Requirements:
- one year experience in FF and E procurement required
- degree qualified in the field of interior, product or architectural design a preference
- alternative work experience within design studio applicable
- passionate and curious about hotel design and design trends
- strong data and financial analysis skills
- superior organisation with high attention to detail
- excellent written and verbal communication skills
- computer literate with Excel
- proactive and helpful attitude
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000
