Junior interior designer
at Woolf Interior Architecture & Design

Woolf Interior Architecture & Design is looking for a junior-level interior designer/interior architect to join its design team in Bath, UK.

Our new designer should have a strong work ethic, be organised, be highly creative, have a great knowledge of materials, and be able to communicate with contractors and suppliers effectively.

They must have a desire to develop bespoke contemporary and historic concepts and enjoy designing for unique residential and hotel interiors. You will be working on exciting projects that are full of creative freedom
we welcome individuals who can bring new ideas, skills and knowledge to our team.

Key responsibilities:

  • assisting in the creative vision alongside our clients and design team
  • delivering and developing design work from concept to delivery
  • be able to present design concepts and ideas with confidence
    liaising with consultants and suppliers

The junior gain experience of:

  • proven experience working within residential and hotel projects
  • space planning and concept development
  • experience producing detailed drawings packages and schedules
  • experience of working to UK statutory requirements
  • working knowledge of joinery and construction detailing
  • exceptional attention to detail
  • excellent time management skills
  • ability to source and specify FF&E solo and as part of a team
  • work to design programs and cost planning budgets

Necessary skills:

  • 2D and 3D software is essential (ideally Vectorworks)
  • a minimum one years’ interior design industry experience
  • excellent rendering and/or sketching skills is an advantage
  • ability to work to deadlines and multitask across various projects
  • great knowledge of FF&E, plus a knowledge of new and unusual suppliers.
    InDesign proficiency
  • procurement software such as estimac is an advantage.

Other information:

  • one plus years’ experience is required
  • early employment availability is an advantage

  • to possess a discreet professional manner with clients at all times
  • to have an understanding of data protection
  • to present work to architects and clients under the director’s instruction as part of a team and solo
  • the designer will demonstrate fluency with the following software:
    Vectorworks , Excel, Photoshop, Illustrator, In-design and Estimac
