Peter Mikic Studio is seeking a talented and enthusiastic technical mid-weight interior designer to join our dynamic Shoreditch-based team.
Our studio specialises in high-end interior design across luxury private residences, yachts, hotels, bars, and restaurants, delivering exceptional projects both locally and internationally. We are a vibrant collective of Architects and Interior Designers who take pride in fostering a collaborative and inspiring work environment.
The role and responsibilities:
- work on projects from concept to completion
- concept development to tender pack support
- assist with design documentation including presentations
- produce technical packages including plans, elevations, details and schedules
- coordinate with architects, contractors, and suppliers
- conduct site visits when required to do so to ensure design integrity and quality of execution
- assist in managing junior designers, reviewing their work, and providing guidance
What we’re looking for:
- minimum four years’ of interior design experience preferably in the hospitality sector
- strong technical knowledge with construction/tender pack experience
- strong AutoCAD skills with proficiency in spec designer, in design and photoshop a plus
- ability to multitask and meet deadlines
- an understanding of building regulations and construction methods
- a creative yet practical mindset, with excellent problem-solving skills
- exceptional communication skills, ensuring seamless collaboration with clients and management
- UK citizen or UK settled status
