Mid-weight interior designer

Muchmore Design is seeking a mid-weight interior designer to join the team in London.

As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a mid-weight interior designer who can support and lead on a variety of projects – from initial concept through to final installation, whilst inspiring and guiding other designers along the way. If you have strong design experience in the residential sector along with technical and on-site experience we would love to hear from you.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity for a mid-weight interior designer who thrives on responsibility and creativity in equal measure. You will accept briefs from the Creative Director and Senior Designer, manage multiple projects, delegate tasks, liaise with discerning clients and stakeholders, and work with a team of talented designers to deliver exceptional spaces.

What you’ll bring:

  • at least five plus years’ of professional experience in interior design, with a strong portfolio showcasing mid to high-end residential projects
  • proven experience working within the residential sector
  • a track record of managing projects from concept to completion, with impeccable attention to detail and a strong sense of ownership
  • experience supporting other designers, fostering creativity, collaboration, and professional growth
  • strong communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to engage with clients, consultants, and contractors at all stages of a project
  • network and knowledge of material and furniture brands, trade suppliers, sustainable design practices
  • proficiency in design software (VectorWorks/AutoCAD, Adobe Indesign/Photoshop, Project Management Software)
  • excellent visualisation skills and the ability to create detailed and accurate design documents
  • personal attributes: creative thinker, confident detail-oriented, proactive, team player and client-focused
