Design Coalition is hiring a mid-weight interior designer/project architect to join its team in Essex, UK.
The role
Design Coalition are looking for a talented mid-weight interior designer/project architect with strong communication skills supported by good technical understanding in how to deliver projects from concept to handover. To join our busy team of Coalitionists working from our Essex-based mill but travelling nationwide and potentially into Europe.
We have exciting projects that need to be delivered within the commercial hospitality industry for our blue-chip clients.
This role provides a great opportunity to develop as an all-rounded designer, working with the team covering all aspects of creative design, procurement and contract administration.
Responsibilities:
- can lead the development of a design solution from a client brief
- can lead and co-ordinate a team and able to initiate learning and research
- can present confidently with strong visual and verbal communication skills
- has a keen understanding of materials and products
- good knowledge of commercial and hospitality design and detail
- experience in contract administration and logistical planning
- familiarity with Health & Safety in construction
Qualifications:
- degree or similar level in interior design or architecture
- experience of commercial project delivery
- familiarity with relevant building regulations
- working in AutoCAD, Photoshop and InDesign
- FF&E procurement experience and programming
- hold a UK Driving License
- CSCS card holder would be an advantage
Salary: to be negotiated and subject to level of experience in hospitality design.
