Studio DJL is seeking a Part 2 architectural assistant with two plus years’ experience to join its team in London.
About us
Studio DJL is an emerging architecture studio specialising in cultural spaces – think theatres, music venues and arenas – with a parallel portfolio of private residential work. Our projects regularly involve site visits across the UK and overseas.
The role
We’re looking for a talented Part 2 architectural assistant with two plus years’ experience to join our collaborative, design-led team. You’ll get hands-on responsibility across multiple work stages and sectors, with direct exposure you’re unlikely to find in larger practices. We’ll actively support your Part 3 progression.
What you’ll do
- lead technical design and coordinated drawing packages
- prepare and run feasibility studies (sketches, visuals, drawings)
- manage residential planning applications
- attend and support client and consultant meetings
- lead and document site visits
- contribute to concept development and design reviews
What you’ll bring
- proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, Rhino or SketchUp, and Revit (other BIM/CAD experience considered)
- clear, confident communication skills: written, visual and verbal
- a proactive mindset and a strong desire to broaden your experience across design stages, project types, and responsibilities
