Junior interior designer or interior architect
at Yard Architects
Yard Architects is looking for a junior interior designer or interior architect to join its team in London.
Yard Architects are a small but busy practice specialising in private residential architecture, with a number of projects under construction or in development. We are looking for a designer to assist with delivering these projects.
Key responsibilities:
- developing the creative interior vision for projects
- researching and compiling concepts and schedules of fittings and finishes
- producing technical interior drawings and packages, such as joinery, bathroom designs etc.
- collating samples and liaising with suppliers and clients
- maintaining the practice sample library
Required experience:
- some proven experience of working on residential projects in the UK
- knowledge of Publisher (or similar programme)
- experience with AutoCAD
- able to use SketchUp and V-Ray
- good knowledge of joinery detailing
- exceptional attention to detail
- able to produce scheduling documents
- ability to work as part of a team and great time management
- excellent written and spoken communication skills
