Hugh Cullum Architects is seeking an ARB registered project architect to join its team in London.
We are a small firm with offices in Bloomsbury in central London. We encourage and sponsor the further training and education of members of the team and expect career progression from the right candidate.
Attributes and skills:
- over two years’ post-Part 3
- ability to work across a range of work stages
- a willingness to act as lead architect and contract administrator on medium sized projects
- good understanding of UK building regulations and experience dealing with building control
- fluency in Vectorworks would be helpful
- the ability to communicate well in English
- careful and considered production of written and drawn work
- experience of working with listed buildings favoured
Working hours: 7.5hours (not including lunch break) between 8:00 and 18:30
Work pattern: hybrid working opportunity once settled into the role

HCA is a respected design-led practice whose portfolio includes high quality residential refurbishment, new houses, conservation of historic buildings, listed church conservation and community projects. We encourage the development of designs using hand drawing and physical models. Proposals are opened up for general discussion and debate within the office either informally or at weekly design workshops. We believe that all good architecture is a genuine collaboration between the client/end user and the designer and we enjoy working with our clients and bringing them into the design process.
