Green Code Architects is looking for architects to join its team in Colombo, Sri Lanka.
GCA is seeking talented architects to join our Colombo studio, working on UK-based residential, commercial, and urban design projects. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of our international practice, collaborating daily with our London team while enjoying the lifestyle and culture of Colombo.

Founded in London in 2017, GCA has grown into an international practice with thriving studios in London and Colombo. Our architects, designers, engineers, and developers deliver projects at multiple scales – from crafted homes and interiors to large-scale urban developments.
Our Colombo studio plays a vital role in delivering UK projects, offering team members the chance to gain global exposure, work to international standards, and collaborate with colleagues across both cities.
Key responsibilities:
- contributing to design at all RIBA stages, from concept through delivery
- preparing technical drawings, specifications, and construction packages for UK projects
- embedding sustainable design and material innovation into project work
- collaborating daily with colleagues in our London studio
- participating in design reviews, workshops, and research initiatives
- managing project information in coordination with consultants and contractors
- building strong relationships within our international team
Successful applicants will:
- hold RIBA Part 2/Part 3 (or equivalent) qualification
- have four to five years’ of professional experience relevant to the role
- demonstrate strong design and detailing skills, with a keen interest in craft and materiality
- show experience across multiple project stages
- be proficient in Revit, Adobe Suite, and AutoCAD (Rhino/Enscape a plus)
- be collaborative, proactive, and highly organised with excellent communication skills
- have a strong interest in sustainable design, adaptive reuse, and innovative architecture
