Canalside Studio is looking for a junior designer to join its team in Hong Kong.
Canalside Studio, a fast-growing design studio based in PMQ of vibrant Hong Kong, is seeking a talented individual to join our small expanding team.

At Canalside Studio, we specialize in high-quality architecture, merging creativity with technical precision to deliver functional and beautifully designed environments. Our diverse projects span from innovative furniture designs, art installations, to large-scale renovations, all within a collaborative and inspiring atmosphere.
Though established recently, we have already garnered multiple accolades, including the Japan Good Design Awards and featured in leading publications such as Designboom, and Designlines.
Your role
As a junior designer, you will be an integral part of our project team, contributing to all stages of design work – from concept development to project delivery. You will have the opportunity to enhance your skills in a supportive and dynamic environment.
Key responsibilities:
- research and contribute innovative ideas to projects
- produce sketch visuals to test design options and high-quality visuals for presentation
- assist in drawing productions and project deliverables within deadlines
- participate in coordination meetings and design workshops
- gain exposure to various aspects of project development, including contracts and project management
Skills and requirements:
- a degree in architecture/ interior design from a recognized university
- strong proficiency in Rhino; Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
- working knowledge of Revit, AutoCAD is a plus
- excellent communication and presentation skills, shall be able to coordinate with various vendors and contractors
- working experience in a design-led architectural practice is a plus
- culturally engaged, with curiosity across art, architecture, and design is a plus
