Snøhetta Oslo is hiring a product designer to join its team in Oslo, Norway.
Snøhetta is an integrated architecture, landscape, interior and product design firm with studios worldwide. Snøhetta Product Design, located in Oslo, connects Snøhetta’s global experience with materials, technology and industry partners to develop meaningful products for a world in change.
We work across a wide range of typologies and scales, from human-centred technology to circular furniture and integrated architectural solutions, often in close collaboration with our global architecture, landscape, and interiors teams.
We are now looking for product designers to join our team in Oslo.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
- develop products end-to-end – from early research and concepting through to detailed design for manufacture
- lead 3D modelling and vizualisation using Blender, Fusion and Rhino, or equal, setting a high bar for digital craft
- create clear stories and presentations that communicate design directions to clients, collaborators and internal teams
- prototype, test and refine using both digital and physical methods. Sketch, prototype, test and refine
- collaborate across disciplines with architects, interior designers, engineers, manufacturers and brand teams
- contribute to a positive team culture by sharing references, participating actively in critiques and knowledge-sharing, and supporting colleagues and projects when needed
We’re especially interested in designers who have:
- exceptional 3D skills and vizualisation ability, demonstrated clearly in your portfolio
- strong skills in Blender plus Fusion 360, and Rhino or equal
- experience working in a design or innovation agency/consultancy or similar fast-paced, multi-client context (preferred)
- a strong sense for concept, narrative and storytelling, not just form
- good understanding of materials and manufacturing processes
- a genuine interest in sustainability and designing for long-term impact
- any additional experience in areas such as real-time vizualisation, parametric tools, photography or product film is a plus – tell us about it
