Landolt + Brown is on the hunt for an architectural assistant to join its team in London.
Landolt + Brown is an award-winning architecture practice seeking a talented Part 2 graduate to join our small and creative team. We are at an exciting stage of the studio’s development and are looking to employ an architectural assistant to be involved with projects equivalent to RIBA Stages 2 and 4. There is potential to be an integral part of a small team delivering built projects.
The role involves assisting project architect and directors with significant public sector and transport-related projects, becoming integral to our team delivering projects to a high standard of design and technical resolution.
Recognised Part 2 as minimum, relevant experience working in a UK based practice and proficiency in Bentley Microstation is essential; an experience of work to existing buildings and transport sector is an advantage.

Landolt + Brown Architects are looking to appoint a motivated and talented Part 2 architectural assistant.
Candidate requirements:
- a recognised RIBA Part 2
- one to two years of practical experience post degree and diploma (Part-II)
- technical experiences in construction techniques and bespoke detailing
- good knowledge of finishes and materials
- attention to detail
- confident to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
- some knowledge of UK building regulations is preferred
- strong conceptual/visual skills and the ability to translate design ideas into presentation formats
- ability to manage a varied workload, working to deadlines
- a good working knowledge of Bentley Microstation 2D and 3D,Adobe Creative Suite
- organised and thorough
- working knowledge of specification writing an advantage (e.g. NBS)
- a good communicator
- collaborate with others
- think creatively about technical challenges
- good spoken and written English
- applicants must have eligibility to work in the UK
Candidate role
Working as part of our studio team, architectural assistants will provide support to the directors and project architect for the production of architectural concept designs, detail design solutions, planning and other statutory applications, tender and construction drawings and specifications.
The successful candidate will be fully proficient and experienced in Bentley Microstation and have good 3D modelling skills and visualisation skills. We would welcome applicants who can demonstrate experience of both technical detailing and concept stage work.
There will be a three month probation period. Salary is commensurate with experience level.
