Digital marketer
at East JR
East JR is hiring a digital marketer to join its team in London.
About the role
East JR is looking for a creative and driven digital marketer to take complete ownership of our digital presence, from brand storytelling and social media to paid advertising, website management and email newsletters.
This is not a coordinator role. You will be the creative force and strategic mind behind everything East JR puts into the world digitally. Working closely with our business operations coordinator and founder, you will shape our voice, grow our audience and make our brand impossible to ignore, while keeping our identity rigorously intact.
Key responsibilities
Content and social media:
- take full ownership of East JR’s presence on Instagram and LinkedIn
- plan and maintain a comprehensive social media content calendar
- generate a continuous pipeline of fresh, on-brand content ideas
- collaborate with the business operations coordinator and production manager to align content with business activity
- arrange, art-direct and schedule photoshoots to build the content library
Website:
- lead the launch of East JR’s new website which is currently underway
- manage and update the site on an ongoing basis using Squarespace
- write and maintain all web copy in line with East JR’s brand voice
- use GTM and UTMs to help track website performance through GA4
Paid media:
- ideate, copywrite and produce and optimise Meta (Facebook and Instagram) ad campaigns end to end
- build, manage and optimise Google Ads campaigns
- manage budgets, test creative approaches and analyse campaign performance
- report on ROI and make clear, data-led recommendations
Email and newsletters:
- build and manage email newsletters using Mailchimp or a similar platform
- write compelling, on-brand newsletter content that drives engagement
- grow and segment the subscriber list over time
- design newsletter layouts using Figma, InDesign or Canva
- track open rates, click-through rates and optimise accordingly
What we are looking for
Creative skills:
- strong instinct for brand voice and visual identity. You nurture it, not just follow it
- confident copywriter across all formats: ads, captions, web, email
- able to generate original ideas consistently, not just execute briefs
- experience with art-directing or arranging photoshoots
- a strong eye for design across layouts for posts and campaign assets
Strategic and analytical:
- proven hands-on experience with Meta Ads Manager and Google Ads
- able to build and manage a full content calendar independently
- understanding of SEO fundamentals, Google Tags and UTMs
- proactive by nature, you spot opportunities and act without being asked
Tools and platforms
Proficiency expected (or demonstrate ability to learn quickly) in:
- Squarespace – website management
- Meta Ads Manager – paid social campaigns
- Google Ads – paid search campaigns
- Figma – design and layout work
- Adobe InDesign – editorial and newsletter design
- Mailchimp or equivalent – email marketing
The kind of person we are looking for:
- ownership – you do not wait to be told what to do next
- comfortable ideating a campaign concept as you are setting up an ad set
- care deeply about brand and will push back when something does not feel right for East JR
- organised enough to manage a content calendar, a photoshoot and a paid campaign simultaneously
- bring rigour to creativity- great ideas, properly executed
- collaborative and work well alongside others to ensure content reflects what is actually happening in the business
- background in or genuine affinity for interiors, architecture or the creative industries is a strong plus
