Senior interior designer

House of Kin is hiring a senior interior designer to join its team remotely.

25 hrs/week – school hours friendly.

Working hours are Monday to Friday, 9:30 to 2:30.

Fully remote, UK and international projects, occasional international travel may be required.

Our projects span the UK and beyond, specialising in hospitality, education, and family lifestyle spaces that inspire connection and joy.

We are looking for a senior interior designer to join our team, bringing creativity, technical expertise, and leadership.

You will manage projects from concept to completion, ensuring that every space reflects our values of authenticity, creativity and quality craftsmanship.

Key responsibilities:

  • lead projects from concept to completion, ensuring exceptional design standards
  • develop and present mood boards, concepts, and detailed drawings using AutoCAD, SketchUp and Adobe Suite
  • collaborate with the client, suppliers, and contractors to bring the designs to life
  • oversee FF&E selection and procurement, ensuring the highest quality materials and finishes
  • work closely with the founders and wider team to maintain project timelines and budgets
  • coordinate with architects, contractors, and consultants for seamless project delivery
  • ensure the designs align with our signature aesthetic – thoughtful, warm, and beautifully detailed
  • travel as needed for both UK and international projects.

About you:

  • at least eight years of experience as a project lead on large hospitality projects
  • proven hotel and hospitality design experience, including on-site
  • strong proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and rendering software
  • excellent communication skills in English, with confidence in presenting to clients
  • deep knowledge of materials, finishes, and FF&E for hospitality spaces
  • ability to manage a large project and a team and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
