Ben Pentreath is hiring a studio manager to join its team in London.
Ben Pentreath Limited is looking for a proactive, experienced studio manager to provide practical and administrative support to its busy 48-person team in Bloomsbury.
Working closely with the practice director, the studio manager will support the directors with the day-to-day running of the studio.
This full-time, studio-based role would suit someone who is highly organised, flexible, and able to work calmly and practically.
Responsibilities, including but not limited to
Studio operations:
- overseeing daily studio management to always ensure the high-quality presentation of all areas of the studio
- supervision of studio assistant, delegating suitable tasks and monitoring workload/productivity
- managing facilities, office housekeeping, cleaners, maintenance, security
- building maintenance: ensuring the upkeep of the studio, liaising with contractors and architects as required
- security: responsible for the correct use of the alarm system and being the appointed contact for security company
- promoting sustainability where possible, overseeing recycling and responsible waste, and lessening the carbon footprint of the business
- ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements
- communicating office updates to all staff
- overseeing use and maintenance of the pool car (e.g. service appointments, car wash, etc.)
Finance support:
- supporting the interiors team with making supplier payments
- reconciling expenses to correct projects
- overseeing office card payments and ensuring correct processes are followed
Studio events and PA support:
- supporting directors in press, marketing, events and related duties
- arranging interviews and sending out images and communications when required
- organising office learning events and social outings; booking venues, coordinating people and logistics
- PA duties to directors as needed to arrange calendar appointments, meetings, complex travel itineraries, filtering emails etc.
- administration of office calendar and staff site travel
Essential skills and experience:
- proficient use of Microsoft Office suite
- proven experience of working in a similar role
- strong interpersonal skills
- excellent written and spoken communication skills in English
- efficient and highly organised
- uses initiative and prioritises workload
