Junior marketing executive

Design International is seeking a junior marketing executive to join its team in London.
Design International is an award-winning architectural and design practice with offices in London and Milan and a history spanning more than 60 years. Over the decades, we have built a globally recognised track record, delivering large-scale retail, leisure and mixed-use developments across more than 45 countries.
From concept through to detailed design, we create innovative, people-focused environments that respond to the way people move, interact and experience a space.
We are looking for a creative, organised and enthusiastic junior marketing executive to join our international architectural and design practice in London.
This is a hands-on role for someone passionate about architecture, design, social media, visual storytelling and events. Working closely with the head of marketing and communications and our design teams, you will help communicate the practice, our projects and our people to a global audience.
The role
This is a hands-on role for someone passionate about architecture, design, social media, visual storytelling and events. Working closely with the head of marketing and communications and our design teams, you will help communicate the practice, our projects and our people to a global audience.
You will play an important role in strengthening Design International’s brand presence across digital and in-person channels, helping to showcase our projects, people and expertise to a global audience.
The role has three key areas of responsibility:
Project content and storytelling:
- develop engaging content around our international architecture and design projects
- work with architects and designers to gather project information, drawings, renders, photography and other visual assets
- write project stories and content for our website, social media, newsletters, awards and other communications
- help coordinate architectural photography and videography with project teams and external creatives
- organise and maintain our digital image and asset library
- create and update marketing brochures
Social media and digital:
- plan, create, schedule and publish content across our social media platforms – Instagram, LinkedIn
- develop content around projects, design, people, events, awards and studio life
- help grow engagement and reach through creative and relevant digital content
- support updates to the Design International website
Events and brand engagement:
- assist with client events, industry events, exhibitions, networking activities and other brand initiatives
- support Design International’s presence at major international industry events, as well as other architecture, design and property events
- support event logistics, invitations, presentations and promotional materials
- create content before, during and after events for social media and other communications
- help strengthen Design International’s profile, relationships and visibility within the international architecture, design and property community
About you
We are looking for someone who is creative, proactive, visually minded and highly organised, with a genuine interest in architecture and design.
You will ideally have:
- one to two years’ experience in marketing, communications, social media or a creative role
- excellent written English and strong communication skills
- a good eye for photography, visual content and presentation
- experience creating social media content and working with content calendars
- strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- proficiency in Canva or experience with Adobe Creative Suite
- nice to have basic photography, video and editing skills
- the ability to work collaboratively with architects, designers and project teams
- experience within architecture, design, property, construction or another creative industry is highly desirable but not essential
Additional information
Working pattern: 4.5-day working week, with three days in the office
Hours: 7.5 hours per day
Location: London office
Right to work: Applicants must have the right to work in the UK
Salary: £25,000–£32,000, depending on experience
