Forward Architects is seeking a communications coordinator to join its team in Malta.

This is a particularly exciting time to join the practice. Over the next year, several high-profile cultural projects, including two major museum projects, will reach significant public milestones. These moments will be accompanied by public events, press activity – and strategic storytelling across digital and print media. In parallel, the studio will engage in a series of lectures, publications and celebrations reflecting on its body of work and future direction.

The Communications Coordinator will play an important role in supporting these initiatives, gaining first-hand experience of shaping how architecture is communicated to both public and professional audiences. In this newly created role, you will help strengthen how we think about our work and communicate our ideas. The position will involve both strategic oversight and hands-on involvement.

Working closely with the Partners, you will foster a culture of critical thinking, enhance project development and client engagement – and contribute directly to shaping the practice’s identity. As part of a broader collective effort, you will help direct the studio’s approach to written and graphic project communications, ensuring that each design narrative is compelling, cohesive – and consistent.

The role

We are looking for a proactive, creative and enthusiastic Communications Coordinator to bring our projects to life and amplify the voice of our studio. This is an exciting opportunity to support all aspects of the practice’s communications strategy by crafting compelling narratives, producing visually striking content – and ensuring that our messaging is engaging and consistent across all platforms.

You will play a vital role in delivering our communications strategy, collaborating with project teams – and sharing the development of our work through digital platforms, publications and the press. If you enjoy working in a fast-paced, creative environment and have a passion for design, this is an excellent opportunity to make an impact.

Your experience

We are looking for someone with strong writing, editing and proofreading skills. Whether you have worked in a similar role or simply have a keen interest in the built environment, you will bring a good eye for detail and a natural ability to tell compelling stories.

Proficiency in social media platforms and content management systems is preferable, as is a working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign and Photoshop.
