Johanna Molineus Architects is hiring a Part 3 architect to join its team in London.

Johanna Molineus Architects is looking for a full-time experienced Part 3 architect with strong technical skills to lead on high-end residential and mixed-use projects, including higher-risk buildings (HRB).

Since its foundation in 2002, Johanna Molineus Architects has become recognised for its innovative and sensitive approach to design, creating tailor-made schemes for our clients. Much of our work is within the UK but also have a range of international clients and our portfolio includes projects in the UK, France, Germany and the Middle East.

Based in the heart of Soho, you will be part of an open and dynamic environment working on a range of projects within the high-end residential and commercial sectors. We are a small creative team with a supportive and collaborative atmosphere, organising interesting site visits and team events. At Johanna Molineus Architects you will have the opportunity to take a leading technical role across our portfolio of high-end residential projects.

The job role includes:

• acting as project architect on your own projects, running them from inception to completion and liaising directly with clients throughout
• leading the technical design and detailing on projects, including those classified as higher-risk buildings (HRB)
• preparing and coordinating Building Regulations submissions, including Gateway 2 packages under the Building Safety Act
• coordinating closely with structural and M&E consultants to resolve technical queries
• liaising with Building Control and the Building Safety Regulator throughout the design and construction process
• liaising with the contractor and professional team on-site and monitoring the progress of works against the design
• supporting and mentoring the wider team on technical matters

The preferred candidate will:

• be a qualified RIBA Part 3 architect with significant technical experience
• be confident running projects and liaising directly with clients
• have experience of high-end residential projects
• have experience of higher-risk buildings (HRB) and Gateway 2 submissions under the Building Safety Act
• be proficient in Vectorworks and the Adobe suite
• have excellent technical detailing and specification-writing skills
• have good written and verbal communication skills
• have the ability to prioritise their work and manage multiple projects
• have the ability to take initiative and work independently
• have the right to work in the UK – unfortunately, we are not able to sponsor visas
