Haysom Ward Miller Architects has an opportunity for an architect to join its team in Cambridge, UK. 

Haysom Ward Miller Architects is looking for a bright, creative and enthusiastic architect (or well-experienced Part 2) to join our office in Cambridge, UK.

HWM have an exciting portfolio of current projects including one-off houses, residential developments, education and conservation work. The residential schemes include Community Land Trust developments and custom-build housing. We have a reputation for producing high quality designs with a strong focus on detail, materiality and context.

We are looking for candidates with proven UK construction experience who are skilled designers with a developed technical understanding, good site management and communication skills.

Responsibilities and duties:

• lead the design development to deliver projects through the planning process
• manage the technical delivery of projects with support from the project director
• work collaboratively and coordinate with clients, consultants and contractors

Core skills:

• clear and thoughtful design, presentation and communication skills
• thorough technical knowledge
• good hand drawing skills in addition to CAD visualisation proficiency
• a good working knowledge of BIM would be beneficial
