Landscape architect
MICA Architects is looking for a landscape architect to join its busy London-based practice.
MICA Architects is a new practice formed by Gavin Miller and Stuart Cade, the partners of Rick Mather Architects. We work at all scales and levels, from a regional urban and landscape level to individual buildings, interiors and the furniture and equipment of living.
Working often in challenging and sensitive contexts, we view internal and external space as an integrated whole, and value the role of landscape, planting and the public realm in achieving this.
We are looking to employ a landscape architect in an exciting role to continue the development of the practice.
This will include the following responsibilities:
- help develop and lead a landscape approach for the practice
- support the team on the design of both hard and soft landscape for architectural and urban design projects and bids
- support the team on construction supervision and site management
- work closely with external consultants to support teams in creating sustainable landscape designs and public realm
- work with the team and others to research and advise on sustainable design
Skills required:
- suitable landscape architecture qualifications
- prior knowledge of landscape construction detailing in compliance with British standards
- experience of landscape planning process and CDM regulations
- working knowledge of planting specification required for successful implementation
- experience of work with BIM coordinated projects
- ability to communicate efficiently and clearly both verbally and in written and graphic form
- ability to use some of the following: MicroStation, Revit, Adobe Creative, MS Office
This will be about working in an energised and collaborative team.
