LyonsKelly is looking for a senior architect to join its practice in Dublin, Ireland.
LyonsKelly specialise in high end residential projects. We are looking to recruit a senior architect to work on exciting and prestigious residential projects in Dublin. Projects range from restoration and extension of Georgian and Victorian houses to contemporary new build projects. The role involves working semi-autonomously on projects and seeing them through all stages. We are very selective about the work we take on and work with sophisticated clients.
LyonsKelly was founded five years’ ago and are a team of six people. We place an equal emphasis on aspects of design – architecture, interiors and landscape so the job will appeal to a person who enjoys the design of every element of a build and interior. We take a very detailed approach to projects and the person we recruit will understand this process.
We are a small but growing office and it is important that everyone enjoys what they do and has an opportunity to develop professionally. We try to achieve this by organising regular trips of interest and giving our staff the opportunity to place their stamp on projects as they grow with us. We also have a number of social events throughout the year.
The position of senior architect responsibilities will include:
- project design development and management from concept through to site completion
- coordinating design information with consultants
- overseeing the efficient production of tender and construction information, drawing and specification writing
- representing LyonsKelly at regular design team meetings on site
- mentoring and advising junior members of staff
We would ideally like to find someone with:
- five years’ post-graduate experience
- a detailed working knowledge of Irish planing and building control legislation
- knowledge of Vectorworks
- strong design ability
- good communication skills including fluent spoken, written and technical English
- good project management skills
- experience working with protected structures (listed buildings)
