Junior/mid-level visualiser
at Martin Brudnizki Design Studio
Martin Brudnizki Design Studio is looking for a junior/mid-level visualiser to join its team in London.
Martin Brudnizki Design Studio (MBDS) is an internationally acclaimed interior architecture and design practice based in London and New York.
Over the last eighteen years, the studio has worked across the world with notable clients including Four Seasons, Rosewood Hotels, Six Senses Luxury Resorts, Soho House Group, The Birley Group, Caprice Holdings, Sydell Group and The Royal Academy of Arts, alongside a number of private residences. Having recently completed the redesign of Annabel’s in Mayfair and The Surf Club Restaurant with Chef Thomas Keller in Miami, the studio is currently working on creating the interiors for projects in London, New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Miami, Paris, Zurich, Copenhagen, Madrid, Stockholm, Athens and Hong Kong.
MBDS is seeking a driven, ambitious, and talented junior-mid level visualiser with great product modelling skills, to work on a range of innovative projects and design concepts. The candidate must use their strong visual and creative skills, combined with knowledge of industry standard software, to produce high-quality images suitable for presenting to clients.
With a solid understanding of 3d Studio Max and non-destructive workflow in Photoshop, the candidate must be able to model confidently, keeping a clean topology and have a good knowledge of applying materials and setting up lighting in a scene. He or she also must have a good eye for what makes a strong composition. The visualiser will report into the senior visualisation artist, however, will be responsible for their own work, so being self-motivated, as well as being able to work as part of a team, is a must. An understanding of design trends and keen interest in the visualisation industry plus knowledge of relevant blogs and leading visualisation companies is also essential. The ability to hand sketch would be looked upon favourably.
The successful candidate must have two-three years’ experience in either a design or visualisation studio. In addition to a solid understanding of 3d Studio Max, the candidate must be highly skilled in Photoshop. Proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp are required, as is experience using lighting plugins and, in particular, V-Ray.
Main tasks to include the following:
- producing visuals for high end commercial and residential clients
- working with the designers at the earliest stages of a project to develop the concept and produce high-quality final images and visuals
- involvement in the preparation of client concept presentations
- development of visuals for planning/marketing/client approval
- working under pressure and to tight deadlines while being overseen by the senior visualisation artist
Please submit a CV and portfolio samples by clicking the ‘apply’ button below.
If invited for an interview, the candidate should present their portfolio examples/screenshots of the modelling workflow.
