Ackroyd Lowrie is seeking a part-time studio assistant to join its firm in London.
Ackroyd Lowrie is a fast-growing innovative company based in the creative hub of Bethnal Green, east London. We are looking for someone to run the day to day operations and organisation of the studio. The role is flexible and dynamic and new, as a young company we are looking for someone who is open to inputs and changes, and excited about evolving with the business, creating their role as they go.
The successful candidate will assist the design team by helping to improve the running of the studio to ensure it is as efficient as possible. The role is part-time (three days a week), subject to change if required. This is a perfect opportunity for a proactive, reliable, organised and go-getting individual to flourish in an exciting practice and work in a great studio environment.
Specific responsibilities include…
Administration:
- general studio admin (H&S, supplies, post)
- arranging director’s diaries
- first point of contact (when in the office)
- maintaining paper and electronic filing systems
Events:
- creative input into venue and event type
- ensure the seamless running of all events
- organise office trips and travel
- organise Friday sessions
After a successful first three months you will be organised and familiar with the processes in the office and have demonstrated initiative to better the existing processes. You will have built strong relationships with the team, helping with day to day tasks and planning for unforeseen needs in the studio. The success of this position relies on a positive outlook, and an ability to create and maintain a calm environment.
Specific requirements:
- experience with creative digital software, especially the Adobe Suite
- Microsoft Office experience
- proactive approach
- willingness to learn without fear of asking questions or getting things wrong
