PriestmanGoode is seeking a CMF/pattern designer to join its team in London.

From initial strategy and concept design through to design detailing for production, our work delivers creative, effective and innovative design solutions that help transform businesses.
We are looking for a highly creative pattern designer to join our rail team in central London. The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for colour coordination and pattern generation, the ability to work closely with our internal team and our client and have an understanding of fabric manufacturing constraints.
You will be working with one of the world’s leading train manufacturers on highly creative and innovative interior projects which will range from production train interiors to future concept design.
Background/experience:
- a degree in textile/material/graphic design or equivalen
- two-five years’ professional experience preferred
- excellent proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite with Illustrator and Photoshop a must
- understanding of material manufacturing processes and constraints
- ability to translate ideas from research phase through to production phase
- able to adapt ideas and thinking to fit different cultures and markets
- an ability to work on fast paced projects
- excellent skills for both internal and external communications
- a good balance of conceptual thinking backed up with technical knowledge
- eligible to work in the UK
- ability to travel
- Chinese speaking preferable
Candidates for this role should be able to demonstrate strong and original creative thinking and an ability to tackle a wide range of projects simultaneously. The ability to translate ideas from 2D to 3D and work to tight deadlines are a must.
